Hungry Jack returns to The Hudson River Music Hall on Friday, May 13th. Their show opens at 6:00 pm with a screening of the 1932 classic horror movie "Tod Browning's Freaks”, followed by three musical acts. At 7:30 pm, Glens Falls musical icon Shawn Kelly and his son will take the stage for a special acoustic performance. Shawn has been a mainstay of the music scene for over thirty years. The next act on the bill will be Queensbury's own Frank Palangi. Frank Palangi has been performing original, high-energy electric and acoustic rock throughout the Capital Region and beyond for more than a decade. Frank has shared the stage with such acts as Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, Aron Lewis of Staind and several others.
Headlining the show will be Hungry Jack. This appearance presents the Music Hall debut of their newest member, drummer Manuel Hung. Joining Hung onstage will be Smokey Toenails, Sheikh Yourbaby, Otto Excelsior, and Thorkull Von Rummel. Hungry Jack released their latest CD "All You Can Eat" in October 2015 and has received much national and international acclaim since its release.
For those who have never experienced a live Hungry Jack show, it is quite an experience. They have been described as Monty Python and The Muppets meet Frank Zappa and Black Sabbath. Hungry Jack has opened up for national recording artists Michael Graves of the Misfits and One Eyed Doll.
