Luke Garrett Band

  • Hudson River Music Hall

Join us for a night of acoustic rock with the Luke Garrett Band at the Hudson River Music Hall.

Coming from Upstate New York, Lucas Garrett has played professionally for over four years.  In this time, he has incorporated his blend of progressive rock, folk, classic rock and indie to create a unique set-list that audiences enjoy time and time again.  With the inclusion of original music into his set, Lucas has picked up only more attention as his live appearances continue.

From performing at local coffeehouses, television appearances, and playing at such theaters as Charles Wood in Downtown Glens Falls, Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward, and the Hudson River Music Hall in Hudson Falls, Lucas has garnered the attention of varying venues in a short amount of time.  The vast repertoire heard at each performance guarantees the audience something new every time.  Playing with a band or as a solo artist, and armed with an arsenal of over an album's worth of original music and covers ranging from the 1950's through to modern music, people of all ages are able to enjoy his sets.

For this show, Lucas Garrett will be performing a complete play through of his debut EP, "Evening's Come, But It's Not Dark," as well as other originals. On top of this, several crowd favorite covers will be a welcome part of this family friendly event.

So, come on by, stay a while. You'll be glad you did.

At the Strand Theater - Kenny White

  • The Strand Theater

Hailed by reviewers from the New York Times to the San Francisco Chronicle for his “thrilling” and “unique” piano playing, Kenny White is a talented singer/songwriter and a successful NYC-based record producer. He has written, performed, and produced music for hundreds of TV and radio commercials as well as film soundtracks, and has worked with stars like Mick Jagger, Merle Haggard, and Keith Richards.

Although he is an accomplished and sought-after pianist, White has recently become known for his clever lyrics – compared to songwriters as diverse as Randy Newman and Leonard Cohen. His shows include original music, with songs ranging from humorous to heart-breaking, with White accompanying himself on piano and guitar.  He often tours with Cheryl Wheeler and with Judy Collins, who released three of his CDs on her Wildflower Records label.

White is currently touring in support of his new album, LONG LIST OF PRIORS, which features guest musicians such as David Crosby, who says that “Kenny has earned a place among my favorite singer/songwriters. A true wordsmith and musician who reveals a fine sense of humor as well.”

A scathingly brilliant and entertaining songwriter.”  – Dalis Allen, Kerrville (TX) Folk Festival.

The Good Doctor will be the first full-length comedy to be performed on The Strand Theater stage in over 50 years!

One critic has stated that this outrageously humorous play--with a touch of warmth sprinkled throughout--is just "downright fun." The Good Doctor concerns a writer who brings 9 of his stories to life.  The 11 local actors who play over 24 multiple roles include Phil Jessen(the Writer), Elizabeth Winge, Alan Dunham, Kim Fitzpatrick,  Andy Volin, Megan LaValley, Garrett West, Shelley Fairbanks, Weston Azaert,  Bonnie Wiles, and Gene Cunningham.

The director of theater for the Hudson River Music Hall/Strand Theater is Rene Roberge, who says this play is family-friendly.

Tickets may be reserved by calling 518.747.5035.  General admission tickets are $15.  Senior tickets (60+) and Student tickets (18 and under) are $12.
